3D CAD:
Every product is designed and engineered in 3D CAD to ensure the parts are engineered for manufacturing and also to meet strict regulatory standards. Engineering is where a product design is detailed. That determines the performance, aesthetics and manufacturability.
We use a state of the art, cloud-based 3D CAD platform that unites CAD, data management and real-time collaboration. Pro-Dev engineers have engineered a number of products that are successfully mass manufactured and sold around the globe, some of which have even won awards.
Our depth of knowledge in the industry allows us to advise the ideal balance of structure and
cost. Over-engineering can increase the price of manufacturing and thereby the unit cost and under engineering can lead to product failure. The right balance is critical.

Product specification:
We have combined experience of over 30 years in specifying and manufacturing components. All products and their components require precise 2D CAD specification to support the 3D CAD files. It is through the 2D drawings and supporting documents, that parts and assemblies are manufactured to the specified requirements. Dimensions, material, finishes and assembly procedure must be clearly and accurately documented.
We have in-depth knowledge that allows us to specify parts to suit various manufacturing processes. From injection moulding plastics, to aluminium die-castings and extrusions. The manufacturing tolerances and guidelines are different for each process, and are critical to achieving a high-quality part that is mass-producible.
Our advanced CAD system ensures all our part updates are tracked and revision controlled. This means there is a lower chance of an error in the product specification document leading to costly mistakes.
We also provide a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for every product/ project we work on. This enables you to keep a track of the part counts and part specification like material, colour and number of pieces per unit etc.
